HUMMER上的绿色激光武器

<P>HUMMER是一代军用名车。使得其更有名的是，美国军方在上面架设了不可思议的10千瓦的激光武器，用于在远达300m的距离上，消除没有爆炸的地雷等爆破物。
这种称为ZEUS的系统，其工作原理是把激光聚焦到目标的外壳，加热穿透直到内部燃烧爆炸。通过激光引发的爆炸比起自己爆炸而言不那么剧烈因此可以在少有破坏力的情况下消除危险。系统使用了摄像机以及遥控操纵杆控制的Nd:YAG绿色激光来瞄准锁定目标，然后又另一束高功率红外固体激光器来加热摧毁目标。激光的动力是柴油发出的。整个系统的特点是超高精度、高可靠度、高安全性可控的风险。</P>
