KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure statistical process control, yield and scrap cost tracking are established and maintained within the engineering subdivision to improve the process flow.
2. Implement and develop yield improvements and perform troubleshooting of existing procedures where necessary.
3. Enable and document improved process.
4. Failure mode analysis for that subdivision and complete analysis in a timely fashion.
5. Offer training to technicians.


REQUIREMENTS:
1. 2+ years experience in working on optical components or modules. Working experience of fibre splicing preferable.
2. Understanding of optical passive and active components/modules and performance.
3. Good knowledge of fibre and its inspection and application.
4. Solid skills in product failure analysis and data analysis.
5. Experience of project management is preferable.
6. Understanding the mechanical drawing and basic design for jigs/fixtures.
